KMGH-TV Denver reports on its website, “Anadarko Petroleum, the company responsible for two oil and gas sites whose explosions have killed three people and severely injured four others in Colorado over the past five weeks, now faces accusations that it made ‘materially false and misleading statements’ about the Firestone home explosion that defrauded investors out of money.” An investor’s proposed class action against the company and certain executives claims they “made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose” poor maintenance and safety protocols that put its wells at “increased risk of explosion.”
