Four people are dead following a head-on crash early Tuesday on U.S. Highway 287 just north of Dumas.

Marc Joseph, 45, of Dumas, was driving a 2011 Nissan Rogue in the northbound lane of Highway 287 at 5:19 a.m. roughly two miles north of Dumas, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials.

At the same time, a 2017 Toyota Corolla driven by Gregorio Avalos-Rivera, 69, of Spearman, was driving south in the northbound lane, and the two vehicles collided.
