Amarillo Manslaughter Defense Attorney Offers Free Consultations: Manhunt ends in arrest of Haley Dunn sought in Borger homicide of Quincy Lang

UPDATE 9:20 MAY 31: Around 9:20 Wednesday morning, Haley Anne Dunn was taken into custody in Plainview, Texas.

The Borger Police Department worked with Texas Department of Public Safety Wednesday morning and were led to Dunn’s location in Plainview.

The arrest was made by DPS Criminal Investigations Division and the Texas Rangers.

Dunn will be arraigned by a judge in Plainview and then extradited back to Hutchinson County.

UPDATE: The Borger Police Department said early Wednesday the morning the person of interest in a Tuesday night fatal shooting is now the suspected killer.

According to BPD, on May 30 around 8:15 p.m. officers were sent to the parking lot of Jackpot Junction at 516 N. Main.

That’s where they found 35-year-old Quincy Jescenus Lang suffering from a gunshot wound. Lang was taken to Golden Plains Community Hospital where he died from those injuries.

Officers are now looking 18-year-old Haley Anne Dunn, a white female, who stands 5’ 4” tall and is a suspect in this shooting.

According to officials, witnesses said the exchange began between Dunn and Lang started at a business parking lot, that’s when Dunn allegedly shot Lang.

A warrant for her arrest was being prepared early Wednesday morning, charging her with manslaughter. BPD said she has a felony arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance unrelated to this case.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Borger Police Department tells ABC 7 News they are now investigating a shooting that left one person dead and the suspected shooter on the run.

According to the department’s Facebook page, officers were called out to the 500 block of North Weatherly Street around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The Department is attempting to locate a person of interest, “Haley Nadine.” If you know this person or where she is, you’re asked to call 806-273-0930.

Borger Police Department’s Assistant Chief Brandon Strope said they will not release the identity of the victim until next of kin is notified.
