Amarillo Murder Defense Attorney Offers Free Consultations: APD Special Crimes Unit is investigating an infant death

On Friday, June 30, 2017, the Amarillo Police Department was called to a home in the block of 1100 S. Carolina about an 8-month-old baby who was unresponsive. The baby was transported to a local hospital. There was evidence the baby had been injured and detectives from the Special Victims Unit and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit were called to the scene. The baby died in the hospital on the afternoon of July 1, 2017, and the case was transferred to the Special Crimes Unit. Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn ordered an autopsy that was performed in Lubbock. Special Crimes asks those with information about this case to call 378-4268.
