Amarillo, TX – After almost 3 weeks of fighting for his life, an Amarillo truck driver has succumbed to his injuries following a rollover accident
On May 10th, Texas state troopers say, 49 year-old Russel Van Shuey was traveling on Highway 83 near Wheeler, Texas when he struck a cow in the roadway.
He was attempting to avoid hitting another cow, troopers say Shuey over-corrected and flipped his truck and trailer into a ditch.
Shuey was rushed to a hospital in Wheeler and from there, he was flown to an Amarillo hospital.
As a result of his injuries, he died Friday morning, May 29th.
