Amarillo police are investigating a crash that left Henry Eddie Gonzales with serious injuries Friday night.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, just before midnight officers responded to SE 9th Avenue and S Fillmore Street on a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup.
APD officers determined a 1998 Harley Davidson, driven by 42-year-old Henry Eddie Gonzales of Amarillo, was headed eastbound on SE 9th Avenue.
That’s when police said a 2014 Ford F-150, driven by 19-year-old Deaundre Solis of Amarillo, was headed northbound on S Fillmore.
Officers were told Gonzales disregarded the red light and the pickup hit the motorcycle.
APD said Gonzales was not wearing a helmet.
Gonzales was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and Solis was not injured, according to APD.
APD’s Traffic Investigation Squad is continuing to investigate the crash.
