Pampa, TX – A four-vehicle pile-up has left one woman dead and a child in the hospital.
The Department of Public Safety says Lola Dewitt of Pampa ran a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle. The other vehicle spun and wrecked into two other cars.
Dewitt was driving with her four-year-old grandson in the car at the time. Reports say the child is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The accident happened Thursday at the intersection of State Loop 171 and US 60, a mile east of Pampa.
Dewitt was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say they do not know if the child was using a seat belt.
